Rubber and plastic mixing and compounding, moulding and extrusion
Specialty flooring, mudflaps, marine fenders, grommets, irrigation and various other hardware

$60-160,000 depending on your expertise
Km reimbursement for travel initially. If your travel increases then a car allowance.
Relocation assistance and sponsorship possible.



The job:
Design innovative plastic and rubber solutions
Liaise with local and international clients
Work well with your colleagues in production, QA, QC, mixing and compounding operators, marketing, sales, finance, operations and customer service
Go out to meet with customers with the sales people
Find workable product solutions to real world problems most a lot more complex than making a pair of thongs.
Travel between the two manufacturing sites.
Possibility of national and international travel to customers and conferences
8.30 to 4.30 Monday to Friday
Hours are flexible. You could start at 7am to avoid traffic
The factories meet all OH&S standards.
Hearing protection and Personal safety equipment is provided and must be worn
Enjoying being hands on and getting dirty. A lot of carbon black is used.


You:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in: Materials Science, Chemistry, Rubber, Polymers or similar
You may be a keen recent graduate or have a wealth of expertise
Hands on experience developing innovative solutions to commercial applications
Enquiring mind, want to learn from the best and put that knowledge into practice.
Want this job as a long term career
Professional personal presentation
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
Comfortable making technical presentations to technical and non technical audiences
Able to work well with all your colleagues from the factory floor to management
Have a passport and be able and willing to travel as required
Current drivers licence and own transport this workplace is not well serviced by public transport
Able to balance the science with the commercial realities
See a seemingly impossible problem as a challenge and invent a product to solve it
